1st Grade Teacher
Ms. Stuckey
Hi, My name is Katie Stuckey and I am very excited to join the amazing teaching staff here at Millville Elementary School. I was born and raised in Redding California, and most of my time growing up was spent participating in creative hobbies such as dance, music, and art. I graduated from U-prep and attended Shasta College obtaining my associate degree in social sciences. While in college, I worked as an instructional aide, supporting students in a range of grade levels from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. I then spent four years working with students with disabilities, as an aide in a special education classroom. My experience working with these children changed my life and made it very clear to me that I wanted to pursue a career in education. I transferred to Chico State, where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in liberal studies. From there, I enrolled in the credential program at Simpson University to pursue my goal of becoming a teacher. Since being hired at Millville Elementary, I have been welcomed with open arms by all staff, students, and families, and I am very thankful to have the opportunity to teach in such a welcoming and supportive environment.
