Founded in 1856, Millville Elementary School District is a firmly established and integral member of the small, rural ranching community of Millville. The importance of history of the school district is evident in the care and maintenance of two former schools located close to the present-day site.
They are now homes to Millville's Masonic Hall and Eastern Star Lodge and to Millville's Historical Museum. The community looks to the school not only as a learning institution for their preschool through eight children, but for leadership and as an entity to trust and respect. The community congregates at Millville School for school events, such as talent shows, Christmas concerts, sports competitions, and art and academic events. In making every to meet the needs of the community, the school gym serves as a polling place for voters and also functions as community meeting place.
During the school year, Millville school will serve approximately 240 students grades preschool through the eighth. The entire School community collaborates for the benefit of all students.
