ALL ABOUT MILLVILLE'S PBIS SUCCESS!
What is PBIS? |
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It’s a structured school-wide focus on using data to create a positive, predictable, and safe school environment where all students can learn and succeed by... - Teaching and practicing clear behavior expectations - Recognizing and reinforcing positive behavior - Providing support so every student can meet expectations - Building a school culture that is that everyone wants to be a part of |
What Sets Us Apart |
Millville PBIS Tier 1 Highlights - Added Roadrunner Expectations signage across campus to keep expectations clear and visible. - Staff consistently handed out Beep Beeps to recognize students showing Safe, Respectful, and Responsible behavior. - With Student Council input, we revamped the Spirit Store to offer more exciting rewards. - Celebrated students who met expectations all week with a 20‑minute free‑time reward, requested by Student Council. - Implemented school-wide monthly behavior goals based on daily behavior data, helping the entire school focus on one shared improvement target at a time. - Supported students needing extra help through Behavior Academy, where they reflected on behavior, were retaught expectations, and practiced strategies for success. |
Next steps |
Millville’s next steps focus on strengthening our PBIS work by involving the community, families, and students more intentionally. We plan to include these groups in our Tier 1 teams, Student Council, and Site Council to ensure a wider range of voices and perspectives guide our decisions. We will also share PBIS data and celebrate successes more frequently—not just once a year—so everyone stays informed, engaged, and connected to the progress we are making together. |
