Millville's Theater Club

All grade‑level students are welcome to join our Theater Club! Each year, participants collaborate to stage an incredible play that blends singing, dancing, and acting. Along the way, they learn practical theater skills such as using microphones, projecting their voices, and confidently taking up space on stage.
Students also discover the joy of teamwork while building sets, sharing laughter, and supporting one another. Under the guidance of our theater director—who also directs productions for Axiom Theater in Redding—members gain professional insights and hands‑on experience that make every performance unforgettable.

Millville's Ski & Snowboard Club

Launched in 2025–2026, Millville’s Ski & Snowboard Club gives students the chance to experience the slopes in partnership with Mt. Shasta Ski Resort. Over four exciting days, participants enjoy significantly reduced costs, receive 1–2 professional lessons each day, and spend time building athletic skills while having fun in the snow.
The club isn’t just about skiing and snowboarding—it’s about creating memories. Students sip hot chocolate, laugh with friends, and grow in confidence, while parent chaperones join in the adventure, sharing the slopes and strengthening connections with their children.

Millville's annual Field Trips

At Millville, we believe that hands‑on, interactive experiences deepen learning and spark excitement. Field trips give students the chance to step outside the classroom, build skills, and connect concepts to the real world.
We proudly offer a wide variety of explorative trips across grade levels, including:
  • Logging Convention in Lassen — a hands‑on look at forestry and industry.
  • Farm and City Days — interactive experiences that connect agriculture and urban life.
  • Pluto Caves — cave exploration and geology in action.
  • Ashland Shakespeare Festival — live theater that brings literature to life.
  • Sue‑meg State Park — an overnight camping trip for 7th and 8th graders, featuring tide pool exploration and coastal ecology.
These traditions combine adventure, discovery, and skill‑building, ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn in unforgettable ways.

Every Friday afternoon, Millville middle school students dive into electives of their choice, exploring passions and building new skills in smaller, interest‑based groups.
Electives rotate each trimester, offering fresh opportunities in areas such as STEM, art, athletics, and performance. Past electives have included:
  • Rocketry — hands‑on engineering and design.
  • Basketball — skill development and teamwork.
  • Karaoke & Dance — confidence, rhythm, and fun performance.
  • Dungeons & Dragons — creativity, storytelling, and strategy.
  • Painting — artistic expression and technique.
  • Photography — capturing moments through a creative lens.
  • Mask Making - Creating unique masks formed to your own face!
These electives give students the freedom to pursue personal interests, collaborate with peers, and discover new talents—all while making Friday afternoons a highlight of the week.

Millville's Art Program

Every Friday afternoon, Millville classrooms transform into creative studios. Teachers dedicate this time to exploring different modes of art, guiding students through unique painting techniques and multiple mediums—including pastel, crayon, colored pencil, marker, watercolor, acrylic, and more.
This weekly focus allows students to express themselves, experiment with new styles, and build confidence in their artistic abilities. All artwork is carefully saved throughout the year and proudly displayed in our annual Art Gallery during the end‑of‑year Open House, where families and the community celebrate the talent and creativity of our students.
